Wow what a trip! I am definitely glad to finally have arrived in Manila and not have to be back in the air for a long time! After 4 flights, 3 airlines, 4 times through security, 23+ hours in a plane and over 30 hours of traveling in general I finally arrived! A little weary, very smelly but glad to have made it without any major difficulties! Sad to say that so far I don't have any funny stories to tell.
I've already killed a large roach (ok so maybe this was my initiation), and taken a shower under a faucet with a trickle of water- but man it's never felt better to be refreshed! I'm already tired and ready for bed, but since it's only 4pm I'm going to try and make it at least a few more hours! Jeff and Colene gave me a warm welcome and over the weekend we'll figure out where I'll be living- I've got a couple of choices but the good news is they all have internet and a vonyage phone (meaning free calls back to the states!). I've got it rough!
well I'm off to a basketball game-
